Arrive, Monday, March 19, 2007 We will attend Mass at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart for the Feast of St. Joseph, then have supper at Moreau Seminary. (Please let us known if you will be there for supper.)
Summit starts: Tuesday, March 20, 2007
Summit ends: Thursday, March 22 with Mass and supper and fiesta
Why:
The demographics of the Catholic Church in the United States are rapidly changing due to
immigration,
high birth rate of Hispanics,
lower birth-rate of other groups
How:
We will develop a written plan of what we hope to accomplish in Holy Cross Hispanic ministry in the next 10 years.
We will look for opportunities for collaboration among religious and among our works.
We will have a presentation on where we are now with Hispanic ministry in Holy Cross.
We will have regional meetings in preparation for the large event.
