Planning for the Mission in Hispanic Ministry
|
Strategic planning involves a number of elements:
1. An honest evaluation of where we are: How successful are we as Holy Cross in Hispanic ministry? What are our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats?
To do this, we want to gather reports from different religious who, in consultation and collaboration with other Holy Cross religious and lay colleagues, describe our pastoral effectiveness in the mission of Hispanic ministry.
2. Looking at goals that we share, as the Family of Holy Cross. We are not about individual ministries, nor are we about operating on our own. We operate as Holy Cross. We might name some values and goals that are important in our setting, but the expressed vision of our Congregations is what guides us and provides our values by which we make judgments. We start with our constitutions, provincial and congregational documents.
3. Plan specific steps that we can take. Strategic planning is deciding what we can do now to effect our desired outcomes. They need to be things that we can do, not things we want some one else to do.
